"Whose Praise Shall We Seek?"
Do thoughts within your heart appeal to pride?
The praises men bestow weigh down your soul.
You cannot serve with mind and heart made whole,
If fear of scorn still whispers deep inside.
The praises men bestow weigh down your soul.
You cannot serve with mind and heart made whole,
If fear of scorn still whispers deep inside.
We cannot walk as worldly people do,
Nor let our tongues repeat the things they say.
Our choices mark a higher, holier way—
For Christ has fit our feet to follow true.
So raise no cup, but raise your voice instead,
And share the Gospel, bold in word and deed.
The Light shines forth for all who seek and heed,
Embrace the hope where faithful feet are led.
His word proclaimed—He walks with those who sow,
And sheaves will rise where faithful servants go.
