The Tutor

"The Call and the Tutor’s Visits"

Upon the call, bewildered and unsure,
A youth received a guide from realms on high.
The Tutor came with wisdom to supply,
His wisdom vast, to strengthen and assure.

The cup of knowledge filled beyond its brim,
Each lesson brought a challenge to surmount.
Could mortal hands bear such a vast account?
With faith, he listened to the tutor’s hymn.

He learned of books, with sacred text concealed,
A task divine to bring the truth to light.
Yet warned of peril, should he stray from right,
This knowledge was a treasure not to yield.

To keep his charge, his heart must firmly stand,
For Heaven’s voice would echo through the land.

"Preparation and the Great Work"

For years the Tutor shaped his heart and mind,
To banish doubt and ready him for grace.
With steady hand, he'd soon his fears displace,
The work ordained by God’s own will aligned.

The book foretold, of ancient lore so grand,
Would need his gift to translate every word.
Repeated warnings, always to be heard,
A charge from Heaven’s law, a firm command.

No thought of gold should lead his soul astray,
For if he faltered, Heaven's wrath would burn.
Through trial's fire, his soul began to turn,
Prepared at last, to walk the chosen way.

With sacred text, the work at last could start,
A triumph born from faith within his heart.

The Tutor   (poem originally made on 2020-03-21)

After the Call, now what to do.
God sent him the Tutor who knew.
Over many a visits he had with him.
His cup of knowledge spilled over the rim.

I can't imagine all things that he learnt
Great expectations that might over exert.
How could he ever do this thing.
Can you see or hear what he did bring?

The tutor talked of a book to read
With help of translation he would need.
A warning of destruction to be heeded,
Five times repeated for it was needed.

Cautioned he was, this book was made of gold.
he never was to let go or brake the hold.
Nor should he consider it to be sold.
If he did then God would come down and scold.

The tutor trained him 4 more years.
So he could clear out all his fears.
Now he had it then the work could begin.
Translating this book was truly a great win.
