Gird up your Soul

 "Gird up your Soul"

Though shadows rise, the light is drawing near,
A brilliance held behind the darkened veil.
I walk beside you, though your senses fail
My voice is soft, but let your spirit hear.

The earth may tremble, weary from its fight,
Yet angels stand with trumpets in their hands.
The sky holds breath while heaven's justice stands,
And every soul still faithful shines with light.

So lift your eyes, the kingdom waits for you,
The gates are wide for those who rise and trust.
Though not all clean, the willing and the just
Shall find their robes made white, their hearts made new.

The enemy may gather—let him come—
But heaven's song will drown his beating drum.
